A ranking screenshot proves almost nothing
Positions move with the searcher's location and device, so a flattering screenshot is easy to produce and tells you very little about whether anybody called.
The honest version is a grid of positions across the metro, tracked over time, sitting next to the number of tracked calls and booked jobs that came from search.
Seasonal traffic hides and reveals results
Organic traffic rising in June proves nothing. It would have risen anyway. Comparing June to last June is the only read that separates the marketing from the weather.
That comparison is also unforgiving, which is the point. If the work is not producing, a year-over-year view says so plainly rather than letting a seasonal upswing take the credit.
Reviews are half of local SEO here
In a metro where neighbors recommend each other sparingly, review volume and recency carry more weight in both the ranking and the decision.
Any search program in this city that does not include a review process is doing half the job and reporting on the easier half.
